4) - Bevel Gear

Spur gear :-
Teeth of this gear is parallel to the shaft or axis of gear usually gear ratio is 1:1 to 6:1.

It's simple in construction, easy to manufacture, low cost & excellent precision rating

But but but center distance is limited, noise at high speed & large amount of stress..

Helical & herringbone gear :-
It's very powerful in gear industry it's use for carrying heavy load in heavy machinery it's gear ratio is same as spur

Much more Inclined teeth indicates  Helical Gear.




Double helical gear is nothing but example of  herringbone gear it's useful for heavy machinery


This both is very smoother & quiter,less were & tere , continually output
But but but
It is very costly,  during work heat generation is more,  it's required thrust bearing
Application of these gear is for printing, food processing machinery, fertilizer Industry,  plastic industry etc...

Rack & pinion gear :-
                                        whenever someone says convert rotary motion to liner motion which device can be use!  It's rack and pinion gear

Bevel & spiral gear :-
                                        A gear working another  at angle to it by means of bevel gear and some difference of teeth  Is spiral gear.

Bevel gear and spiral gear  Is nearly equal to same. Only difference between them is teeth. Bevel gear has teeth  Is straight  And spiral gear has teeth is inclines.
Teeth of bevel gear can be classified as  straight inclined or hypoid.

This bevel gear is also called spiral bevel gear or spiral gear 
This  gear used for automobile, industries for marine applications, railway track inspection machine, steel plants and printing press is etc..

Worm & worm gear :-
